The vegetable stereotype again

A (now former) classmate of mine– who I absolutely love– just returned from a business trip to D.C., and asked on Twitter what her followers’ favorite airplane foods are. I responded: Cliff/Luna bars, wrapped Flying Apron goodies, and sandwiches.
Classmate: What kind of vegan sandwich travels well?
Me: heh, PB&J travels really well (shh…. our secret) and Hillside Quickies makes some good prepackaged ones!
Classmate: Hmmm…PB&J. Who knew? Hah, when I think of vegan food, I always think of veggies. A classic like that wouldn’t even occur to me.

Hilarious. Someone at work asked me the other day why I was eating peanut butter since there is butter in it. It absolutely kills me how people have no idea what they are eating.
